Rock ‘n’ Roll is dead and its corpse is for sale – Fighting Fiction new single – Out 4th July on Xtra Mile!
“Unapologetically catchy and with a social conscience that yells rather than speaks to all, Fighting Fiction immediately crave your attention, capturing you from the first rush of jingle fused beats and failing to relinquish their hold until the last burst of gang led vocals truly ensnares. More than promising, this is a band you need to discover now.” - 12/13 Room Thirteen

…music to leadership – The Worldonfire – their new album out 11th July on Dead Planet Records
‘Music To Leadership’
Out July 11th on Dead Planet Records
Integrity, graft and independence are all vital watchwords for The Worldonfire as they strive to deliver their freewheeling collision of genres to its widest audience yet. Yet ambition is nothing without talent and, as their upcoming album ‘Music To Leadership’ demonstrates, the Harlow quartet have that in abundance. Their sound flows between the intelligent crafted alt-rock of Biffy Clyro or At The Drive In with the aggressive hook-laden edge of post-hardcore greats from Hüsker Dü to the modern day with Taking Back Sunday.
The Worldonfire are:
Dave Walsh (vocals/ bass), Haaris Ali (guitar), Bill Ginn (guitar), Joe Lazarus (drums)

Munroe Effect – Debut Album ‘Ultraviolenceland’ Out On Dead Planet Records – 30th May 2011
“With a touch of ATDI, some gorgeous sonic textures and aching vocals, this Portsmouth mob demand your attention from the off“ Kerrang!
“all over the place – in a good way – with the odd, math-rock time signature mix-up pushing them away from local band mediocrity, and attention-grabbing vocals that drift between melodies and high-pitched screaming” - Rock Sound
UK post-hardcore quartet Munroe Effect have announced the release their debut album ‘ULTRAVIOLENCELAND’, on the 30th May on Dead Planet Records. These guys haven’t had an easy ride, having left behind an unproductive management deal after promises of much needed funding that failed to come into fruition, the band took initiative and decided to take matters into their own hands to do what they had to. The result of this frustrating journey being an explosive record, ripe with equal measures of impassioned free flowing melody and the kind of intensely calculated angular ferocity that’s been absent from this scene for far too long.
With a history of accomplished live performance, shows include support for The Subways, Young Guns and Gay for Johnny Depp, and a tantalising album teaser, the Portsmouth four piece have already been getting noticed in the right places, with Daniel P Carter playing the album opener ‘The Escape (Part Two)’ on his Radio 1 Rock Show, and BBC Radio Wales Introducing DJ Jen Long showing support on her blog.
With Alan Douche (Dillinger Escape Plan, Brand New, Norma Jean) being the man behind the mastering, ‘ultraviolenceland’ is set to be a stand out debut of truly epic proportions, hitting the post-hardcore scene with a hard and much needed smack in the kisser.’
